Salsa Beginner/Intermediate is a complete basic course in Cuban salsa. It is an advantage to have taken the introductory course first, but not a requirement. In the course, experienced and patient instructors go through all the necessary steps and figures at a basic level. The course is also suitable for those who may already be dancing a little salsa or have taken a basic salsa course previously. During the course, we become confident in the salsa rhythm, in the different basic steps and learn the most central salsa variations in pairs. In addition to learning new characters, we are constantly concerned that everyone should feel that they have mastered the dance, and focus on how we in the dance should lead the partner clearly, and how the partner should be led. We use these modules as a starting point in this course. After this course, you can move on to the advanced level if the content of this course feels easy and you have mastered it well enough to use it on the social dance floor. We often recommend taking the basic course several times, and not moving on to the next level until you feel confident with all the syllabus from the basic course. The very best dancers are those who lay a solid foundation at the start! After the basic course, you are also ready to start Rueda de Casino; Cuban salsa as a ring dance.(Course description) 19.15 - 20.15

This course is suitable for those who have a good foundation in salsa, i.e. have good control of salsa rhythm and timing, and can dance basic salsa figures from ‘Salsa beginner/intermediate’ in a good way. We recommend that you have at least good control of these figures when starting at this level: dile que no, dile que si, guapea, enchufla, enchufla doble. We continue with these modules in this course. You dance at 'Intermediate level 1' for several rounds until you have learned all the figures that belong to this level and are ready to move on to 'Intermediate level 2'.(Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

After the beginner rueda course, there are four levels, advanced 1, advanced 2, intermediate and advanced. There is a large repertoire at this level, and you do several rounds at the advanced level to learn everything, before moving on to the next level. Rueda Intermediate 1 is thus suitable both for those who have finished the beginner/intermediate level and have good control of the figures there (alternatively, we recommend repeating courses), and for those who have been attending Rueda Intermediate 1 for a while. In the course you will learn some figures that are completely new, in addition to getting a lot of dance training on figures and moves that you have gone through previously. Maybe someone would like to try their hand at learning to lead/call a rueda? To ensure good learning of Cuban characters and work on developing as a good leader/follower, it may be a good idea to attend a salsa course in parallel to also practice the dance in pairs.

This is the course for those of you who already have a good foundation in Cuban salsa, and are at an advanced 2 level. Then you have already learned a large repertoire of salsa figures and combinations of figures, and in this course, instructor Livan Rondon from Cuba will look at the correct execution and correct leading of the various figures, and of course also introduce some new figures that constitute good exercises for this level. The joy of dancing is greatest when you are in good flow, have good communication with your dance partner, and dance in harmony with the music. All of this is taken to a whole new level through this course.(Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

This is a very useful course for anyone who wants to expand their repertoire in Cuban salsa, and be able to come up with fun steps and movements to do when dancing alone or when letting go of the partner in the couple dance, which is very common in Cuban salsa. Cuban dances embrace everything from traditional dances such as cha cha cha and son, to Cuban rumba, reggaeton and Afro-Cuban dance. In this course, the instructor mixes steps and elements from all of these in a fun and developing dance class. He is also concerned that everyone develops their personal style, uses their personal expression in dance through improvisation and musical interpretation. We hope to see you at Cuban Mix, whether you have recently started salsa, or you have been dancing salsa for many years. Open level. It pays to sign up for all 6 weeks, but if you only have the opportunity to join a few of the times, it is possible with Drop-In for kr. 250 at a time. After the beginner's course in Rueda de Casino, four levels follow: Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, Advanced and Advanced. Rueda at the upper secondary level builds on the skills from the advanced level. To participate, you must master the content from both Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2, as the instructors will not spend time repeating previous characters. The advanced level has an extensive repertoire, and it is common to attend several rounds of the course to learn the entire content before moving on to the advanced level. Rueda High School corresponds to the intermediate level of rueda.casino. You can see an overview of all the figures at the level here: https://rueda.casino/rueda/intermediate/ During the course, you will learn new characters and at the same time get a lot of practice in figures and trips you have gone through before. There may also be opportunities to try calling rueda, for those who wish. To ensure good learning and development as a leader or follower, it is recommended to combine the rueda course with a salsa course in pairs. This provides valuable training in basic technique and interaction, and strengthens the individual dance understanding.(Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

Rueda Intermediate 2 is the continuation of Rueda Intermediate 1, and is suitable for those who have gained a good grasp of all vocations and figures at Intermediate 1. We think it is important to emphasize that you are not necessarily trained at a level after a course round. It is common to dance at an advanced level for a while before you are ready to be able to follow a rueda course at the advanced level. It is important for your enjoyment of dancing that you master the callings of a level before moving on up to the next level. It is also in this way that we become good rueda dancers! :) Welcome to the course and to experience lots of dancing joy!Registration is closed
