This is a complete basic course in Cuban salsa. It is an advantage to have takenthe introductory course first, but not a requirement. In the course, experienced and patient instructors go through all the necessary steps and figures at a basic level. The course is also suitable for those who may already dance a little salsa or have taken a basic course in salsa before. During the course, we become confident in the salsa rhythm, in the different basic steps and learn the most central salsa variations in pairs. In addition to learning new characters, we are constantly concerned that everyone should feel that they have mastered the dance, and focus on how we in the dance should lead the partner clearly, and how the partner should be led. After this course, you can move on to an advanced level if the content of this course feels simple and you master it well enough to use it on the social dance floor. We often recommend taking the basic course several times, and not moving on to the next level until you feel confident with all the syllabus from the basic course. The very best dancers are the ones who lay a solid foundation in the beginning! After the basic course, one is also ready to start at Rueda de Casino; Cuban salsa as a ring dance. This course is suitable for those who have laid a good foundation in salsa, i.e. have good control of the salsa rhythm and timing, and can dance basic salsa figures from 'Salsa a little advanced' in a good way. We recommend that you as a minimum have good control of these characters when starting at this level: dile que no , dile que si , guapea, enchufla , enchufla doble . We continue with these modules in this course. You dance at 'Intermediate level 1' for several rounds until you have learned all the figures that belong to this level and are ready to move on to 'Intermediate level 2'.(Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

This course builds on Salsa practiced 1. The instructor does not repeat the repertoire from the previous course, but assumes that you as a participant are confident in the trips from 'practiced 1', and can use these on the social dance floor. On 'Practiced 2', you continue with figures fromthe modules that have not been covered in 'Practiced 1', and which require a slightly higher level. You dance at an intermediate level for several rounds until you have learned all the characters that belong to this level and are ready to move on to the next level, which is high school.

Fun and useful solo class (not couple dancing) for anyone who wants to learn and develop in Dominican Bachata. First of all, you will learn all the basic steps and become confident inthe bachata rhythm. Dominican bachata has the main focus on hips and footwork as it is danced in the Dominican Republic. Furthermore, the course will contain many fun and useful step combinations that you can use both when dancing alone and for improvisation in the couple dance. A great class to take in combination with one of the salsa or rueda de casino classes for nice variety. It is an open level, but basic knowledge in bachata is an advantage. We look at the level of the participants and adjust how fast we progress. (Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

Cuban rumba adds Afro-Cuban movements into our dance, and the rumba steps in different variations are very often used in improvisation in salsa, both alone and with a partner. There are 4 types of Cuban rumba: Yambú, Guaguancó, Columbia, and Jirivilla. In this 8-weekcourse, you will learn the first two, with the main focus on the Guaguancó, which is the variant that is danced in pairs and which is the most common rumba form. Our Cuban dance instructor Yalena will carefully go through the steps and dance technique the first course evenings, and then we will use the repertoire we have learned in the couple dance.

NB! The course runs over 7 weeks starting October 28th.Course content
This course will focus on rueda de casino figures and combinations at an advanced level, with a lot of dance training, which includes both new characters and figures that are expected to be familiar from before.Expectation
The course is suitable for dancers with several years of experience with casino and rueda de casino. You are expected to have a large repertoire of rueda figures, and to have experience with quick transitions between characters, without falling out of the flow in the ring. The expected minimum level of characters can be seen here: Rueda Beginner and Rueda Improver. You must be prepared to work with rueda both at a slow and high pace, and some in contratiempo. It is an advantage if you are able to learn new material relatively quickly, and can work a little on your own to refresh and remember what we learn, so that there is plenty of time to dance on the course. Continuity
In order to have a good progression through the course, it is important that you as a participant are involved in the entire course. Absence due to illness is of course fine, but if you miss several course evenings, it can be difficult to follow the rest of the course. We emphasize continuity and will have some limited repetition here, so participants are encouraged to practice between course evenings. SalsaNor offers a free video platform for extra training: Rueda Casino. Welcome!NB! The first evening at a new level is always a trial class for new students, where you assess whether you have the foundation necessary to follow the course and with mastery and the joy of dancing. If Some are recommended to follow the Rueda course at an advanced level, they will be notified of this either immediately after the trial class, or by e-mail within 24 hours.(Course description) 19.15 - 20.15

Son is often called the 'mother of Salsa'. This beautiful couple dance is an older rhythm from Cuba, andforms the basis of what we know as salsa, or casino, today. Son is danced on the counter-beat , or 'contratiempo', as they say in Cuba. Learning to dance contratiempo can be a bit challenging at first, but gives a whole new experience of couple dancing, and has become a favorite for many experienced salsa dancers. This course provides a thorough introduction to zones. On the course, you learn to master the contratiempo rhythm, and get a nice repertoire of different variations and footwork to enjoy the son dance on the social dance floor. Variations and shapes in son can also be used in salsa, and vice versa. By learning son, you will also develop into a better dancer in salsa (Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

Rueda Intermediate 2 is the continuation of Rueda Intermediate 1, and is suitable for those who have gained a good grasp of all vocations and figures at Intermediate 1. We think it is important to emphasize that you are not necessarily trained at a level after a course round. It is common to dance at an advanced level for a while before you are ready to be able to follow a rueda course at the advanced level. It is important for your enjoyment of dancing that you master the callings of a level before moving on up to the next level. It is also in this way that we become good rueda dancers! :) Welcome to the course and to experience lots of dancing joy!(Course description) 20.30 - 21.30

After the course rueda beginner, there are four levels, intermediate 1, intermediate 2, advanced and advanced. There is a large repertoire at this level, and you go several rounds at the intermediate level tolearn everything, before moving on to the next level. Rueda Intermediate 1 is thus suitable both for those who have finished the beginner/intermediate level and have good control of the figures there (alternatively, we recommend repeating courses), and for those who have been attending Rueda Intermediate 1 for a while. On the course, you will learn some characters that are completely new, in addition to getting lots of dance practice on figures and trips that you have gone through before. Maybe someone wants to try their hand at learning how to lead/call rueda? To ensure good learning of Cuban characters and work on developing as a good leader/follower, it may be a good idea to attend a salsa course in parallel to also practice the dance in pairs.
