Celebrate the joy of dancing and the rich Latin American music culture in the middle of Oslo city center! SalsaNor invites you to a big street party in Oslo with a free concert, dance, mini-course in salsa and a real summer atmosphere on Saturday 22 August.
On stage is Hovedøen Social Club, known for its energetic and danceable Cuban versions of Norwegian pop classics. With infectious Cuban rhythms, Caribbean joie de vivre and high musical quality, this is a concert experience that is almost impossible to stand still for.
Before and after the concert, the DJ plays for dancing, and SalsaNor’s instructors – including Yordano Bulgar and Andres Estevez – invite you to mini-courses in salsa, animations and line dances that both children, adults, beginners and experienced dancers can take part in.
This is a free family-friendly cultural party in Oslo where everyone is welcome – whether you want to dance, listen to live music or just enjoy the atmosphere.

About Hovedøen Social Club
Hovedøen Social Club has for over 15 years spread Cuban rhythms in Norway and is known for creating original, fierce and highly danceable versions of Norwegian pop songs. The band combines recognizable melodies with Caribbean warmth, polyrhythms and great joy of playing, and has become an audience favorite for everyone who loves salsa, son and Cuban music.

A street party that grows
The street party was held for the first time in August 2024 in connection with SalsaNor’s 25th anniversary, and was immediately a great success. In 2025 , over 700 people participated throughout the day and evening. Now we invite you again to one of the summer’s most lively and inclusive outdoor experiences in Oslo.
