This is a complete basic course in Cuban salsa. It is an advantage to have taken the introductory course first, but not a requirement. In the course, experienced and patient instructors go through all the necessary steps and figures at a basic level. The course is also suitable for those who may already dance a little salsa or have taken a basic course in salsa before.

During the course, we become confident in the salsa rhythm, in the different basic steps and learn the most central salsa variations in pairs. In addition to learning new characters, we are constantly concerned that everyone should feel that they have mastered the dance, and focus on how we in the dance should lead the partner clearly, and how the partner should be led.

We use these modules as a starting point in this course.

After this course, you can move on to the advanced level if the content of this course feels easy and you have mastered it well enough to use it on the social dance floor. We often recommend taking the basic course several times, and not moving on to the next level until you feel confident with all the syllabus from the basic course. The very best dancers are those who lay a solid foundation at the start!

After the basic course, you are also ready to start Rueda de Casino; Cuban salsa as a ring dance.
