What if you could dance both as a leader and a follower – in the same figure?

Salsa Switch (also called Casino Switch because it's all about Cuban salsa) is a playful and creative way of dancing casino, where the goal is to switch roles so seamlessly that the flow of the dance never stops. It's challenging, social and incredibly fun – and opens up completely new possibilities on the dance floor.

During the course, we work with good basic technique in the characters, so that you understand how and why the role changes work. We place great emphasis on the interaction between driver and follower, and explore how small adjustments can make role changes natural and effortless. There will also be a lot of play with characters, combinations and creative transitions.

The course is suitable for those who either:

  • know the basic characters in both the driver and follower roles (typically, dile que no, guapea, right and left turns), or
  • is an experienced dancer in one role and wants to learn Switch.

Whether you want to make social dancing even more fun or want to dance Rueda Switch, this course will give you a solid foundation and the tools you need to develop further.

Use of shoes

We use indoor shoes in the dance halls, and take off our outdoor shoes at the entrance. There you will also find a shoe shelf you can put your outdoor shoes in, or take them down and put them down in the wardrobe at the dance halls. In the wardrobe there are shower facilities.
