Time: 17:30–19:45 (two sessions) · Level: Open to dancers with basic partner experience
Warm up for the evening with two intense pre-concert workshops in Cuban son and casino (salsa cubana) with Alexei & Emília – internationally renowned instructors with 20+ years of experience. The sessions focus on technique, musicality and flow that you can take straight to the dance floor during the concert with Alain Pérez y La Orquesta later that evening.
Program
- 17:30–18:30 – SON (partnerwork)
Basic rhythm, bodily cadencia, walk-feeling, frame/axis, simple combinations that sit in the music. - 18:45–19:45 – CASINO (partnerwork)
Clear lead/feel, round transitions, short timba-friendly combinations for social dancing.
Recommendation: Sign up for both for maximum progression – it builds an elegant foundation for casino.

About the instructors
Alexei & Emília unites technique and tradition (Son, Casino, Timba, Rumba, Afro) with a playful “calle” style and precise pedagogy. Expect clear explanations, clever drilling, and combinations that feel good in your music.

- Partner: Not necessary for registration (we rotate), but feel free to come as a couple.
- Shoes: Indoor shoes are recommended.
- Attendance: 10 min before the start of registration.
